My Town Hall
As many of you are aware, this past weekend I held a town hall at the Falconridge/Castleridge Community Centre. The town hall gave me the opportunity to speak to a number of constituents from various backgrounds on issues which are important to them.
One of the most important issues which came up is the future of the riding’s transportation network. I continue to pledge my support for the tunnel; I don’t believe the fight is over just yet, I am going to continue to advocate for a plan which will alleviate the traffic troubles which will be caused by the closure of Barlow Trial in North East Calgary.
I also had the opportunity to hold a joint question and answer session with our local alderman, Jim Stevenson. Alderman Stevenson and I continued our discussion about the transportation grid in North East Calgary. We received considerable input from the constituents of Calgary McCall about the future of Calgary’s transportation system.
I also discussed a number of other issues as well, including distracted driving legislation, Bill 50, and the economic challenges which are being faced by Albertans. I will continue to do my very best to advance the interests of Albertans through sound policy in the Alberta Legislature.
For those of you who did not get the opportunity to attend the town hall, do not fret, I will be hosting another town hall in the not so distant future.
Sincerely yours,
Darshan S. Kang, MLA
Calgary McCall
